Planting Chinese Radish in a Pot

As I was checking the vegetable seeds that I was able to buy and collect months ago, it came into my attention a package that I bought in a local gardening shop in our place, this one package of Chinese Radish.

Looking at the expiration date, it is still good until August, 2017. reading the package more, and it indicates that this variety requires a cool condition when planted and needs a sandy loam or loam soil with a good drainage.

I had been experimenting on container gardening since last year, and I'm just wondering if this variety can be grown in a pot, searching the world wide web indicates that it is indeed possible to plant radishes in a pot, since the "ber" season is about 9 days from now, I think I'll try doing some experimental planting for this variety of radish, thus, comes this experiment.

The seeds are small, but It can still be easily handled even when your wearing a gardening gloves, although you can use a pair of tweezers if needed be, when planting the seeds.

looking around our garden I was able to spot two small plastic pots that I could use for this experiment, after mixing soils and some compost, I'm ready to sow these seeds into the pot.

Since what I have is a small pot, I'll just put in five seeds per pot and just do some trimmings later if all these seeds do germinate.

The package did not mention how long will it take the seeds to germinate, so I decided to place a date on each pot so that I could record later when it has germinated. For the meantime, I'll just have to wait and see.

Will post more if this experiment is successful in a few days.

Cheers!
